Dan Jones serves as Vice Chair and Professor with the Department of Pathology at The Ohio State University College of Medicine and Director of Molecular Pathology for the James Cancer Hospital. Dr. Jones completed residency training and hematopathology fellowship training at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and did postdoctoral work at Harvard Medical School. He received his medical and doctoral degrees from Case Western Reserve University. Dr. Jones has more than 15 years combined experience in academic medicine and industry, previously serving as medical director of cancer diagnostics at Quest Diagnostics Nichols Institute and a molecular pathologist and researcher at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. He has authored more than 250 scientific manuscripts and book chapters, emphasizing advanced diagnostics and the molecular basis of leukemia and lymphoma as well as molecular modeling of outcome and response to standard therapies in colon cancer, melanoma and other solid tumors. He has held many positions within AMP and is currently Chair of the Clinical Practice Committee.
